Description

Integrated collision warning for industrial trucks The Drive Assist System driver assistance system can be used to implement integrated warning strategies for collision avoidance and to support the driver. The system offers an environment perception of up to 276° that can be adapted to the specific use of the vehicle. Thanks to the output of polar coordinates, the protection zone and thus the required distance between the vehicle and an object can be determined precisely. The direct integration of the Drive Assist System into the controller of the industrial truck makes it possible to implement various alarm outputs and control interventions, for example reducing the speed of the vehicle or stopping it. Benefits Simple implementation of tailored warning strategies and interruptions into the control system Individually scalable monitoring area depending on vehicle type and place of operation Reliable object recognition regardless of shape and surface – even when strongly affected by ambient light Intelligent pre-processing of data directly at the sensor – without additional hardware or software Seamless integration and configuration using the vehicle bus system Flexible and unobtrusive installation
