The demands placed on all units in the production process are constantly increasing. This calls for systems that work reliably, are environmentally and user-friendly and take economic efficiency into account to a high degree. AGTOS has developed a series of cartridge filter units especially for use in conjunction with shot blast machines, which sets new standards and contributes significantly to process reliability. Filtration with process safety The dust generated during the blasting process is extracted in an air stream. It flows through the impact separator, where heavy dust particles are already separated. It then enters the lower filter chamber. This is where the filter cartridges are located. As it flows through the filter cartridges, the dust is removed from the air, which is then cleaned and transported upwards into the clean gas chamber. At the same time, the filter cartridges are cleaned at adjustable intervals by compressed air blasts from the compressed air nozzles arranged above them. The dust particles are detached from the filter walls. They are fed into the funnel below and collected in a metal or paper dust collector. The cleaned air is discharged to the outside through side openings in the upper filter housing. If a filter cartridge is destroyed, additional filter inserts trap the dust as far as possible until the damage is repaired. Changing the filter cartridges is often a very time-consuming and hazardous job due to the dust. The AGTOS designers have taken practical experience into account here.
