Description

THREADING is a mechanical process designed to create a helical groove, called a thread. This process can be performed both on the external surface of the machined component (screw) and on the internal surface (nut screw). The shape of the profile determines the type of thread: ISO metric, Whitworth, gas, trapezoidal, etc. The pitch, the number of threads and the direction of screwing complete the description. Sir Meccanica’s CNC machine tools allow to perform any type of threading, both internal (WS CNC) and external (TOP), with all their characterising elements and their combinations. In the case of machines without numerical control, internal threads can be created using the specific KIT.
