LPCAMM2(Low Power Compression Attached Memory Module 2) will make laptops faster, lighter, and smaller. Unlike PC modules based on the conventional DDRs, LPCAMM2 is a package-based module where each package contains multi-stacked LPDDRs. LPCAMM2 boasts small form factor, high performance, and high capacity, while dramatically reducing power consumption compared to SODIMM.
Higher Speed up to 8.5Gbps
LPCAMM2 delivers up to 50% higher performance than SODIMM while occupying over 64% less space, providing more freedom in PC/laptop component placement. LPCAMM2 is a 128-bit wide memory bus providing capacity up to 64GB in the same form factor, which means a single LPCAMM2 effectively replaces two 32GB SODIMMs. Its applications are expected to expand to AI, HPC (high performance computing), server, and data center.
Economic & ESG Value
LPCAMM2 is designed to save power, allowing a longer battery life for AI PCs. It is expected to deliver up to 62% less power consumption compared to SODIMM, satisfying the customer needs of efficient power operation and optimized TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Moreover, LPCAMM2 will deliver better ESG scores including waste and carbon emission reductions, with its efficiency two times higher than SODIMM’s.
