This pulley used in combination with a narrow wedge belt provides a greater depth to width ratio and higher power ratings those of conventional V-belts. By placing more of the sheave directly under the reinforcing cord, this transfers more directly to the sides of the sheave, allowing minimum load shedding and producing better force distributions.
