Southco's line of Damping Soft Close Hinges allow lids to gently move to a closed position, eliminating the need for the end user to close the lid or door. It enables users to initiate door closure, then move away, knowing the enclosure will close safely by itself. These damping hinges can be used in conjunction with E6 constant torque hinges to increase the weight or size capacity of the system and create an intuitive hold-open soft-close enclosure. The EC class allows the user to soft close a lid or panel. Preset in our manufacturing facility and never requires adjustment. One way damping for soft close yet no resistance to opening.
