Description

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION STALOC Activator for anaerobic adhesives accelerates the curing of anaerobic adhesives. It is used on either one or both sides of the materials which need to be bonded. It is used for applications where a quick curing process is required, or where passive materials and bigger gaps need to be penetrated. Moreover, STALOC Activator for anaerobic adhesives can be used to cure anaerobic adhesives when absence of oxygen cannot be fully ensured. Use STALOC Activator for anaerobic adhesives 2 minutes before applying the anaerobic product and allow for a fully dry surface (wait until the activator has fully evaporated). APPLICATION Recommended application – further information can be found in the material safety data sheet Clean and degrease surfaces which need to be bonded. Apply STALOC activator for anaerobic adhesives on either one or both sides of the mating materials. Use STALOC Activator for anaerobic adhesives 2 minutes before applying the anaerobic product and allow for a fully dry surface (wait until the activator has fully evaporated). Apply anaerobic product and bond the mating materials. Use STALOC activator for anaerobic adhesives when finding the following conditions: - passive materials / surfaces like aluminium, stainless steel, galvanised steel, nickel or chromed surfaces - ambient temperatures lower than 10°C - bigger gaps that need to be filled Using the STALOC activator for anaerobic adhesives may reduce the top-level strength of the adhesive. This is because using the activator forces the adhesive to cure under stress, which reduces the quality of the polymerization process.
