DescriptionThe Disc Screen is a high-performance particle size sorting solution designed for demanding recycling environments. Thanks to a dynamic screening table with rotating shafts and a synchronised staggered kinematic system, this equipment ensures precise and continuous separation of materials according to their size, rigidity and flexibility.
Industrial Benefits- Premium Mechanical Robustness: Drive system distributed via two industrial gear motors coupled with 16B1 single-strand drive chains (lubricated for life) and ROSTA tensioners
- Integrated Kinematic Safety: A mechanical torque limiter protects each drive shaft against blockages or the ingress of foreign objects
- Reduced Maintenance: The high-end flanged bearings are supplied pre-greased, guaranteeing 17,500 hours of operation (equivalent to 5 years under standard 2x7-hour operation) without any additional lubrication
- Real-Time Monitoring and Traceability: Fitted with 4 inductive rotation sensors that continuously monitor speed to instantly alert the control centre in the event of a drive failure
Options and Accessories- Adjustable frame length: Bespoke configuration with a usable length ranging from 2 ml to 4 ml depending on the required throughput and available space
- Customisable mesh range: Factory-configurable orifices and spacings to calibrate mesh sizes from 0.30 mm to 100 mm (for a standard screened particle size range of 0 to 30/40 mm)
- Types of screening discs: Choice between hexagonal steel discs (high abrasion resistance, removable as half-discs for quick replacement) or rubber-lined discs
- Upper protective cover: System of sealed covers mounted on gas springs to secure the area. Opening is facilitated by a star-shaped knob and incorporates magnetic sensors that instantly shut down the machine upon opening
Applications- Household and Similar Waste (HSW) Sorting Centres: Rapid separation of fine organic fractions, packaging and dust
- Paper and Cardboard (PC) Recycling: Removal of small unwanted items, pieces of glass or bottle caps to purify the paper fibre stream before baling.
- Wood Processing and Shredding (Biomass / Sawmill Waste): Precise grading of wood chips and removal of sawdust or rigid oversize material.
- Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Recovery: Pre-sorting by particle size of fine rubble, sand and lightweight aggregates.
- Composting Centres and Bio-waste Treatment: Refining compost by removing dust and ensuring uniform grading of organic matter.
