The MaGiC SFP is a mudule which, thanks to the MoCa 2.5 technology contained in it, offers data transmission capabilities of up to 2.5Gbps over coaxial cable. It will be an ideal solution for buildings that do not have LAN or fibre optic cabling but only an installation based on coaxial cable - such as a terrestrial or cable TV installation. Thanks to this possibility, an in-building LAN can be realised cheaply and quickly without having to invest in changing the cabling throughout the building. For network devices supporting SFP/SFP+ technology, the insert is configuration transparent. Connection establishment takes place automatically and optimally so as not to interfere with other signals distributed over the cable used. It will also be ideal for building entry and business services where a symmetrical link is required. An ISP can easily launch a service in a building without having to invest a lot of money.
