Sialtex® fabric is made exclusively with Sialtex yarns and is mainly used in the aeronautical and automotive sectors. Sialtex offers good chemical resistance, thermal shock resistance and electrical insulation properties. The yarn is composed of thousands of continuous and resistant filaments that give it excellent flexibility and allows it to be readily transformed into various textile forms such as woven fabrics, woven sleeves, ribbons, cords and threads for sewing without the aid of other organic fibers or metal fibers. Sialtex is composed solely of Al2O3 (alumina) and SiO2 (silica),which are commonly known as stable metal oxide representatives.
