Time Electronics presents 1024 DC current calibrator. It is a precision DC current source for testing and calibration applications in the range of nanoamp levels to 100mA. It is a solid state instrument, operated by battery. The calibrator is portable and ideal for field, laboratory or industrial applications. It includes a lot of time-tested circuit techniques of the type 1010 DC voltage calibrator from Time Electronics.
The 1024 has a null balance mechanism. This enables it to provide precise current measurement along with its primary function as a calibrator. For operation, the current source output is backed against the current meant for measurement. The difference between the two is shown on a sensitive centre zone null meter. All across the 1024, there is zero voltage drop at the null point. The 1024 uses a precision aged reference diode as basic source of reference. Also it employs a top performance FET chopper amplifier, which ensures exceptional zero stability. The stability and accuracy of the initial calibration is maintained by precision metal film resistors having less than 10ppm per °C of temperature coefficients.
