Overview The EA-1 Protectospray directional spray nozzles release a cooling spray to limit heat absorption, reduce potential structural damage and prevent the spread of fire to protected equipment. The directional spray is effective for area coverage and is sometimes used in lieu of standard sprinklers where a directed spray is preferred. Depending on water design density, these nozzles can be applied for fire control or extinguishment. Use of an automatic nozzle requires consideration of the response time of the thermal element.
