OverviewManual blasting cabinets provide mechanical surface preparation by projecting abrasive media to remove oil, rust and scale, and to increase surface roughness for improved paint adhesion. They are used for pretreatment of metal and other substrates prior to coating or finishing.
Health, safety and environmentBlasting generates airborne dust and spent abrasive; cabinets must be operated with appropriate ventilation and dust collection. Air filtration and sealed recovery systems prevent release of contaminants. Any spilled abrasive should be collected and recycled or disposed according to local regulations to protect workers and the environment.
Customization and designCabinet layout, enclosure size, abrasive type and recovery systems are selected according to application requirements. Our engineering team sizes and specifies solutions during the quotation phase based on substrate material, batch size, cycle time and required surface finish.
Technical characteristics / specifications- Function: Mechanical surface preparation (sandblasting) to remove oil, rust and to profile surfaces prior to painting
- Benefits: Improves paint adhesion and ensures consistent surface texture for downstream processes
- Environmental & safety measures: Requires ventilation, dust filtration and recovery or removal of spilled abrasive
- Customization: Cabinets are engineered per application considering material type, production volume and target surface finish
