Description

Short description
WEH® ultra-high-pressure fittings ensure leak-free connections of tube and pipe components. The cone-and-thread (cone & thread) fittings provide a simple, reliable high-pressure coupling system. All fittings are supplied complete with the corresponding mating parts.

Features
  • Metal-to-metal sealing, multiple reassembly possible
  • Suitable for pressure classes up to 10,000 bar / 150,000 psi
  • Easy reconfiguration/replacement due to identical sizes for cross, T and elbow pieces
  • Flow-optimized: fitting nominal size is larger than pipe nominal size
  • Special sealing contours for leak-free joints

Connections and pressure classes
Bulkhead fitting with two identical connections, available in all common high-pressure connection sizes. Pressure rings and pressure screws are preassembled on all connections. Connection geometry: HP-Fitting 60° Cone & Thread.

Details on cone geometries
For pressure classes 2,500 bar (35,000 psi) and 4,200 bar (60,000 psi), the connection uses a 58° external cone on the tube end mating into a 60° internal cone in the fitting. For the 7,000 bar and 10,000 bar classes, special high-sealing fittings with a 120° internal cone are offered; the tube end is machined with a 116° external cone.

Applications
WEH® ultra-high-pressure fittings are designed for hydraulic high-pressure systems. Typical applications include hydroforming and waterjet systems, high-pressure test stands, isostatic presses for ceramic production, and high-pressure processes in the chemical and food industries.

Special versions
Custom versions with different connection threads or adapted pressure ranges are available on request. Special materials for demanding media or operating conditions can be supplied on request.
