Our heavy-duty Cavex® CVXT ceramic-tiled cyclone is designed to provide efficient classification and longer wear life in dense-medium applications, including coal and diamonds.
Overview
The Cavex® CVXT ceramic cyclone features the innovative laminar spiral inlet geometry design of the original Cavex® hydrocyclone range, but with the addition of:
Mild steel fabricated housings and
Thick 92% alumina ceramic tile liners
The ceramic tiles are bonded to a prepared substrate by a two-part epoxy adhesive for maximum strength and wear life.
In combination, these robust ceramic liners and housings allow the Cavex® ceramic cyclone to outperform other cyclones in dense-medium separation, particularly for potash, diamond and coal classification.
Features and Benefits
Improved Performance
The Cavex® ceramic cyclone contains our acclaimed laminar spiral inlet design, which results in sharper separation efficiency, greater capacity, reduced turbulence and longer wear life compared to competing cyclones.
Customisable for a Variety of Applications
The Cavex® ceramic cyclone is available in a vast range of sizes (250 to 1450mm) to suit various applications.
Each hydrocyclone size comes with up to five spigot sizes, ranging from normal to extra high capacity to accommodate low yield ores. Spigots can also be manufactured in different materials to prolong life and efficiency.
