Trio® TSW series sand washers use hydraulic separation by water to clean and classify sand particles by weight.
Overview
Our Trio® TSW series of sand washers (also known as "screw washers") are designed for washing and separation applications involving sand and fine materials.
They use hydraulic separation by water to clean and classify sand particles by weight.
Available in both single and twin-screw configurations, fine material washers are most often used after a sand classifying tank or a wet screening operation to process products such as concrete, mason, mortar, plaster and golf course sands.
Features and Benefits
Built to Perform
Our range of Trio® TSW series sand washers are built to perform, offering the following features and benefits:
A flexible spider coupling that protects the rotating shaft from thrust loads and the gear reducer against vibrations
The sand washer tub is fabricated from low carbon steel plates and features a reinforced seamless steel spiral shaft
Delivers high reduction ratios
The gear reducers ensure that the equipment continues to perform efficiently by lowering spiral speeds and increasing torque outputs as required
Support feet can be pivoted to facilitate changes to the inclination of the tub
Single or twin screw options are available
Three types of wear shoes are available; cast iron, NiHard and urethane coated steel
The feed box features internal and external baffles which reduce incoming velocity and maximises product retention
The double-bent tub construction provides strength and rigidity
The close-clearance curved plate helps to reduce slippage or ""carryback"" when dewatering material
