The strain gages are pressed directly to the cylinders by the mounting force, so that same measurement results in comparison with bonded strain gauges are achieved. After the installation, strains of up to 1000 μm/m can be measured.The two half-shells can be connected directly to the measuring amplifier X-210-8-KA04 without an additional connection box or Y-cable. A digital control input is available on the measuring amplifier for cyclic zero-point adjustments in dynamic applications.ApplicationThe strain ring X-105 is ideally suited for the measurement of strains in tie bars of presses and injection molding machines. The tensile and compressive forces can be determined indirectly by the measured strains.
