Shock / Vibration Resistant
Yaskawa's Bestact™ high capacity 3 & 5 amp reed multi-pole relays (RB- series) offer industry standard 8 pin (octal), DIN and panel mounting capability. They have UL/cUL recognition for gaseous Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations or corrosive environments and have been shown to significantly reduce downtime and/or maintenance costs. They offer greater shock/vibration resistance than electromechanical relays and better voltage isolation versus solid state relays. These multi-pole relays have pilot duty inductive switch ratings of 360VA (AC), 69VA (DC) and horsepower ratings of 0.5 & 1/8 HP respectively. For low-level loads, they exhibit a wiping action that keeps contact resistance very low and stable. 2, 3 and 5 pole configurations of normally open and normally closed contacts are available.
Can energize with small-capacity transistor output since flywheel diode is integrated. LED is provided and power consumption is as low as 0.7W per circuit
Enables direct control of a wide range of loads, thus it is possible to fully compensate for insufficient output capacity of a general purpose PC relay
Incorporates hermetically sealed contacts to prevent aging, making them ideal for infrequent use applications. They permit high frequency switching which is impossible with conventional contact relays
Can reduce manufacturing time due to fast operational speed of 5ms or less
