1948–1960: The Beginning

Hawle was founded in Vöcklabruck in 1948 with a groundbreaking invention: the cast-iron "spar flange" for connecting pipes. This innovation laid the foundation for a series of revolutionary products, including the world’s first resilient seated valve in 1958, cementing Hawle's position as a pioneer.

1960–1990: Post-War Innovation

Hawle expanded its production and product range during the economic boom, introducing iconic innovations like the BAIO system (1983) and the H3 surface hydrant (1985). By 1989, Hawle had opened its first branch in Hungary, marking the start of its international journey.

1990s–2000: International Growth

With Eastern Europe opening up, Hawle established branches in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. New milestones like the System 2000 and E2 valves showcased the company’s commitment to innovation.

2000–Present: Global Leadership

Entering the new millennium, Hawle streamlined its organization and accelerated growth worldwide. Innovations like the A-valve (2003), E3 gate valve (2018), and H4.live digital hydrant (2023) reflect our ongoing evolution.

Hawle takes this responsibility seriously, maintaining rigorous standards at all production sites as a founding member of the Quality Assurance Association for Heavy-Duty Corrosion Protection (GSK).
