Since 1947 M.G.M. Motori Elettrici S.p.A. has specialised in the design and manufacture of electric brake motors and industrial motors for safety-critical applications and industrial automation worldwide.

Headquartered in Serravalle Pistoiese, in the heart of Tuscany (Italy), the company produces 100% of its electric brake motors in-house, ensuring full control over engineering, testing and certified quality standards. Decades of technical know-how and rigorous processes guarantee durability, robustness and long service life. In motion control, reliability is never optional.

M.G.M. Motori Elettrici also manufactures three-phase asynchronous motors, with key components engineered in Italy and assembled through international branches to ensure flexibility while maintaining consistent global quality.

For M.G.M. Motori Elettrici S.p.A. sustainable development and respect for the environment have always been veryimportant goals. In the Serravalle Pistoiese plant almost 100% of the electricity consumed is produced bythe photovoltaic panels placed on the roof.

At the beginning of 2024 a further expansion of the power of the photovoltaic system was carried out so as to facilitate the transition of company vehicles from combustion engines to electric engines.

The air conditioning of the building is supported by a geothermal system that allows significant energysavings both during the winter and the summer, by exchanging heat with the ground at a high depth. The company has also worked on the production cycle by operating on the systems, the insulation of thebuildings, the lighting system to achieve a greater energy efficiency.

Important actions were also made to reduce the consumption of drinkable water by resorting the collectionof rainwater and by recycling condensate water that is used for the lubricating and cooling liquids ofmachine tools.

Thanks to the inclusion of drinkable water vending machine it was possible to eliminate the use of plasticwater bottles, which have been conveniently located in the various departments of the plant. The mechanical processing waste is separately collected and delivered to the waste collection centerswhich will send it to the recycling foundries.

The use of separate waste collection has been increasingly promoted. By rethinking and redesing thematerial and the production process M.G.M. Motori Elettrici has reduced the energy required to make brakemotors with a consequent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The energy efficiency of themotors and of the brakes has been improved. We preferred using eco-friendly material with lowimpact on the environment and we eliminate the use of plastic by using recycled cardboard.
