Tesar was founded in 1979 as a manufacturer of cast resin transformers.
First in Italy and one of the first in Europe to introduce the cast resin technology for the insulation of the transformers.

Given the strategic importance of the Middle East, in 2007 Tesar opened its own representative office in Dubai (UAE) to improve its local presence in the Gulf countries. In September 2012, Tesar set up Tesar Gulf, a new production facility in Al Ain (UAE) to further grow and support its valuable customers in UAE and the entire GCC.

After many years operating with a sales office in Poland, the company decided to build a new manufacturing facility by the green field in the industrial area of Kraków; it has been up and running since 2013.

In 2016, Tesar became part of R&S, a leading provider of electrical infrastructure products in key markets around the globe.

Tesar follows a code of ethics and behavior by which all those working in it are guided. In addition to everything that implies proper interactions among staff members, such as transparency, moral integrity, and responsibility for the safety of employees and personal data, Tesar is committed to enhancing environmental protection (including through the promotion of dedicated products such as EcoPlus2030) and integration in all its forms, both among staff members and with suppliers and clients.
