500 SERIES - MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
Nonsparking cast aluminum housing. Aluminum base plate with nonskid conductive rubber base pad. Both models prewired with potted connector MS-3102R-18-4PW. Two pedal model wired with an electrical interlock and supplied with a divider bar between pedals which helps prevent accidental operation of both pedals at one time. Foot switch painted black.
600 SERIES - MEDICAL EQUIPMENT.
Medical Explosion Proof foot switch Series 600 is a UL Listed construction that allows the addition of sealing 0-rings on the pivot rod and between the base and cover. This is accomplished by increasing the thickness of the housing wall, without negating the integrity of the metal to metal contact required to qualify as explosion proof. The same specifications apply for the 600 Series as detailed for the 500 Series, except for a modest increase in weight and the mating connector required. Use mating connector MS or ~ which includes cable clamp, or CA-06R-18-45W-(Al 05)~(F74)* which includes cable clamp.

JOYSTICK
the 22 mm and 30 mm New Elfin diameter manipulators have been designed specifically for applications in severe environments such as marine nautical, or in industrial or automobile handling, where the devices are subject to demanding use, with exposure to atmospheric agents.
Ergonomics, design, technology
The attention given to the design of the product has generated an extremely comfortable control with harmonious smooth lines, together with the use of materials and technical components like the diaphragm in silicone rubber; available in RAL 7035 and RAL 7016 colours to optimise integration with the control pulpit. The upper knob is in techno polymer suited for a good grip to guarantee safe and ergonomic manipulation. The control stick and other structural metallic parts have been designed in stainless steel, while the slide bushings use marine brass.
The new manipulator can adopt a special series of electric contract blocks (NO/NC), manufactured specifically for the nautical sector, where to avoid harmful damage of corrosion to the electrical contacts, specific parts such as springs in stainless steel, golden electrical contact instruments protected with precious galvanic processes, and exclusive stainless steel screw terminals are used.

The Varior Potentiometer foot switch was designed as a low cost foot control where a non-watertight housing is suitable. Four standard prewired 2 Watt linear models are available. The momentary models have a spring return pedal action, and the maintained models have adjustable friction pads. Maximum resistance must be specified when ordering. The foot switch has a drawn steel housing with black cover, complete with full treadle pad and nonskid base pad.
Also available in our heavy duty Hercules housing:
HERCULES POTENTIOMETER FOOT CONTROL
Environmental Ratings:
NEMA Type 1, 2, 4 & 13
Driptight - Dusttight - Watertight - Oiltight
EN 60529 Degree of Protection IP56
This foot switch is designed for use with variable speed motor drives and is available in selected 2 watt linear values. Specify the maximum resistance you want. Depressing the treadle rotates the potentiometer from zero to the selected maximum resistance shown below. By wiring to the third terminal it goes from the maximum resistance to zero. The treadle is spring loaded and returns to the normal position when the foot pressure is removed. A SPDT auxiliary switch contact rated at 15 Amps 125-250 VAC can be added to the control. The auxiliary switch will operate at the beginning of the treadle stroke. On special order, up to 3 SPDT switches can be added and adjusted for operation at any point of the treadle stroke. Details on switch size, weight, full shields and construction are the same as for the Hercules foot switches. "OX" Shield available
