AALBORG®'s 150mm High/Low Flow Meter with OPTICAL SENSOR SWITCH is a non-invasive means for detection of a HI or LOW flow. This SENSOR is ideal for signaling alarm, cutoff valve or other device when the float passes the detector (alarm, valve, etc. not included).
A small LED sensor and receiver are mounted on one side of the flow meter. The float inside the tube is detected as it passes across the beam of light. The SENSOR can be used to detect the float passage beyond the SENSOR's set-point or to monitor the float position at a specific level signaling when the float isoutside the range of the SENSOR's light beam.
When performing OEM applications, its compact design and ease of application make it a non-obstrusive, simple-to-use addition to your flow meter.
Use whenever maximum or minimum flow levels need to be monitored automatically. AALBORG®'s OPTICAL SENSOR SWITCH can be used in conjunction with a control relay to power alternate equipment or monitoring devices.
It also helps protect your processes and equipment from damage caused by extreme flow rates.

FCI flow switches feature Thermal Dispersion technology in which the temperature difference is greatest in a no-flow condition and decreases as flow increases, cooling the heated RTD. Changes in flow velocity directly affect the extent to which heat dissipates and, in turn, the magnitude of the temperature difference between the RTDs. An electronic control circuit converts the RTD temperature difference into a DC voltage signal. Both of these signals are provided at output terminals and are used to drive two adjustable-setpoint alarm circuits. Both alarms are independently field configurable for flow, liquid level/interface or temperature operation.

Reliable - Safe – Proven !
Our tried-and-tested flow monitoring switches are used for two basic purposes:
- To ensure a minimum flow rate, e.g. of cooling water or lubricating oil (protects against running dry).
- To start a technical procedure when the flow begins.
Function
The flow monitoring switch comprises a paddle system to whose end a permanent magnet is attached. Above this magnet is a reed contact, located outside the flow of fluid. A second magnet with opposing poles creates the force necessary to reset the switch back to the no flow position.
When the flow being monitored pushes against the paddle system, the paddle swings away. This changes the position of the magnet in relation to the reed contact and thus activates the contact.
As soon as the flow is interrupted, the paddle moves back to its starting position, thus activating the reed contact once again. The force necessary to push the magnet back is provided by the two magnets repelling each other.
Using magnetic force instead of the usual leaf spring means that the switch is considerably more stable in the long term and much less sensitive to pressure peaks.

CHARACTERISTICS
The serial of Caudal Switches, can safely detect the flow due to a magnetic connection.
This characteristic allows to operate in working conditions where is necessary to detect fluids in high pressure and temperature, impossible for other systems.
It is possible to operate with a temperature up to 399°C (depending on the model).
F - 1000 are made with stainless steel.
It works inserting a calibrated tongue %u2013 piece into the liquid vein, with almost no leack on installation. F - 503 are made with Bronze, similar to a globe valve.
It works through the movement of a calibrated disc, causing less leack of charge than a globe valve with similar size.
All wet parts of the switch are made with stainless steel AISI 316.
The electronic head is available for specific areas - (Cert. INTI-CITEI IEC 79-Ex d).
We provide the user with a mercury blister. It can be exchanged for a mechanical switch (Microswitch, sealed SNAP type).
A pneumatic head with one signal (On - Off) it is also available.
Due to the switches quality they require very less atenttion and maintenance.
USE
- Boilers
- Distilleries
- Chemical
- Water Treatment Plants
- Medicine production

MFS-25 series of Paddle Flow Switches that are ideally suited in process applications where direction of flow and desired actuation set points are needed for control and dynamics of operations. These monitor flow/no flow conditions and are supplied in different paddle lengths. The trimming of paddle lengths facilitate the switch actuation at desired flow rates. The Reed Switch which gets actuated at set limits of flow conditions can be utilized to switch on/off feed lines as desired by process where these flow switches are utilized.

FCI liquid level/interface switches feature Thermal Dispersion technology in which the temperature difference between the two RTDs is greatest in the absence of liquid and decreases when the level element is submerged, cooling the heated RTD. An electronic control circuit converts the RTD temperature difference into a DC voltage signal. Both signals are provided at output terminals to drive two adjustable-setpoint alarm circuits. Both alarms are independently field configurable for liquid level, interface or temperature operation. Since all process media exhibit different heat transfer capabilities, highly sensitive FCI liquid level/interface controllers may be specifically calibrated to detect difficult interfaces between fluids -- including liquids, gases, slurries and foam regardless of their physical properties.

Thermatel® has demonstrated reliable performance as a flow or level switch. For use as a flow switch, Thermatel can be used to detect either a high flow or a low flow condition for both gases and liquids. For a level switch, Thermatel can be used to detect difference in thermal conductivity of various media. This includes interface detection between media such as liquid/foam, oil/water and even liquid/solid.
Thermatel probes are available in 316L Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C, or Monel with all welded construction. The technology has no moving parts providing excellent reliability.
