Applications

These devices are found in every industrial sector. They also are installed with pumps to prevent them from operating dry.

Technologies

There are different methods of detecting levels within a container. These include the use of floats, pendulums or rotating paddles. Others employ optical, ultrasound, microwave, capacitive or conductive systems.

How to choose

Choice will depend on the liquid or loose solid material whose level is to be measured. Other factors include temperature, pressure, explosion risk, the structure of the container and other aspects of the operating environment.
