The Electromagnetic Digital Load Cells (EM-DLC) of the AD-4212C Series are A&D’s latest weighing sensing technology for maximizing the efficiency of production line systems.
The EM-DLC is a high precision electromagnetic weighing sensor with an integrated analog-to-digital converter. It outputs digital signals directly to a panel computer, PLC, or PC via RS-232C while realizing a minimum weighing value of as small as 1 mg.
The stabilization speed is extremely fast. It takes less than 0.5 seconds for one weighing (up to 30 g + the receptacle weight). In addition, the high-speed, continuous data transmission (selectable from approx. 10 times/second up to 50 times/second) ensures real-time data processing.
The weighing sensor is highly compact. In particular, its width is only 59 mm, which makes the pitch distance between sensors short when multiple sensors are to be lined up. If necessary, the weighing sensor can be directly fixed onto the mounting base by removing its leveling feet.
Free WinCT-4212C software is provided for displaying weighing results, performing calibration, and making settings from your PC. Moreover, there is a display unit (AD-8922A) available as an option, which enables analog, comparator, and BCD outputs with its optional interfaces.
Finally, the weighing sensor is IP65 dust and waterproof. It has also a shock absorber under the weighing pan and can cope with movement in all directions, protecting the weighing unit from an actuator malfunction.
There are currently two models in the AD-4212C Series, the AD-4212C-300 (320 g × 1 mg) and the AD-4212C-3000 (3200 g × 10 mg).
Please see the AD-4212C catalog for detailed specifications.

The shockproof digital load cell is based on a capacitive measurement principle where a non-contacting ceramic sensor is mounted inside the load cell body. As the load cell contains no moving parts and the sensor is not in contact with the load cell body, the load cell tolerates shocks, torsion, and very high overloads and sideloads. Therefore, the mechanical installation of the load cell can be done without expensive and complicated mounting kits and overload protection devices.
The electrical installation of the digital load cell is pure plug-and-play as the signal from the non-contacting sensor is directly converted, compensated and calibrated by a microprocessor to a digital load cell output in grams, kilograms, or Newton. Measurements and status codes are transmitted as RS485 data on a single wire coaxial cable (RG-58) which may be up to 100 meters long.
The technology and mechanical design of the Eilersen load cells is covered worldwide by a number of patents.

The quality of spot welding depends on the force applied by the electrodes as well as on the intensity of the welding current. Within such a control program, the measurement of the force applied by the electrodes is extremely important for ensuring constant production.
That is why we have developed this equipment to measure the closing force of the grips that may be used during the final stage or during periodic maintenance. The end-pieces are interchangeable and can be used to measure force with various shapes of electrodes, the minimum closing dimension being 0.12 in.
This new instrument leverages the robustness, quality and precision of the Centor instrument family, which are specially designed for mobile use in a production workshop.

Testweld™ Hand Held Electronic Force Gauge
An ergonomically designed hand held force gauge.
ADVANTAGES
User comfort "'Ergonomically" designed - for ease of use
One piece unit
Very high accuracy
Swivel head allows access to difficult to reach positions
As with all welding procedures, it is important to eliminate as many variables as possible in order to achieve optimum welding consistently over long periods.
Electrode force is one of the critical parameters in obtaining repeatable, reliable resistance spot welds.
Force can vary because of variable factory air pressure, water in the air lines causing air cylinders to deteriorate and loss of air pressure due to worn seals.
This self contained instrument uses a cell with a force sensor to provide accurate digital read out for auditing weld electrode forces.
Accuracy of this instrument is better than 0.2% and can be switched to read 0-2000 kg, 0-20.00 kN or 0-4400lbs.
In cases of difficult access the head of the swivel head gauge can be swiveled at least ±72º up or down and rotates at least ±90º. Once the desired position is reached it can be fixed by a simple hand tightened knob. A 90 mm long handle is provided for optional use with 2 mountain positions either in-line or at 90º.
A support wrist strap is attached to the gauge so that in the event that it is forced out of the operators hand by misaligned electrodes, it need not fall to the floor and be damaged.
|
|
Faults in welding tongs or incorrect process parameters in welding can result in production line waste or defective parts. Checking the electrode force periodically permits spark malfunctions to be detected at an early stage so that repairs can be carried out in good time.
The new Type 9833A test sensor allows precise and reliable measurements to be carried out with minimal electrode gaps. The built-in charge amplifier simplifies the task of mounting and helps to ensure the reliability required by the automobile industry.

The forces which arise in industrial processes such a press-fit, punching or crimping often have implications for the quality of the final connection. Such forces can also be measured indirectly in terms of the strain occurring at the surface of the machine structure. This is often simpler than taking a direct force measurement, which requires the sensor to be built into the structure.
Kistler's new Type 9234A… strain transmitter with integral amplifier is fitted to the machine very simply by means of a single M6 screw. Thanks to its high sensitivity, accurate measurements are possible even with extremely rigid machine structures.
The robust transmitter is particularly suitable for use with presses and assembly line robots.

|
EPSIMETAL, SCAIME’s miniature strain sensor is available either with a high level output signal or with a direct strain gage output. Thanks to a patented mechanical device, installation and removing are made very easy, by means of screws or gluing, and the strain measurement is possible, from very low stresses up to 1000µm/m.
The amplified output version allows, by means of digital adjustment:
- Temperature compensation.
- Adjustable measurement range.
A watertight version is also available.
This is a perfect tool for load and force measurement or monitoring on existing structures and machines.
EPSIMETAL, used with EPSITRAC, offers a specially designed solution for the monitoring of molding machines and presses. It allows the measurement of tie bar stresses on die casting or plastic molding machines, or hydraulic presses. Periodic adjustment, as well as monitoring, is possible, with transportable or permanent installation.

Sensor 355 is especially used for applications of weighing on hoppers, plates of weighing, machines of conditionings and applications of measure of force. Exist of 5 kg to 250 kg with homologation IOLM in 3000 divisions
|
|
The sensor is suited for torsion measurements and the measurement of reaction moments for orthopaedic measuring devices. It is applicable for measurements of friction forces.
The strain gauge full bridge measure the torsion movement appearing in the tube of the lattice structure.
|
|
The additional force sensors are recognized by all the CENTOR Star and/or Dual force gauges and torque gauges, and they can complete a set of force/torque measurements at a very reasonable price.
The sensor characteristics are stored in the memory of an electronic circuit located inside the sensor connector. When the CENTOR Star or Dual instrument is switched on, the information is collected from the central memory and the instrument is automatically configured: it takes into account the type of sensor, its maximum capacity and its calibration data without the operator having to make any calibration adjustments.
