Pulsed Laser Diodes
These devices range in wavelength from 850 nm to 1550 nm and are produced using Vapor Phase Epitaxial (VPE) and MOCVD growth techniques. Fiber optic pigtailed devices employ an advanced fiber alignment process yielding highly stable fiber to laser diode positioning. Alternative packages and fiber optic core diameters may be supplied on a custom basis.
PerkinElmer offers two types of Laser Diodes: Pulsed Laser Diodes and High Energy Laser Diodes. They are available in wavelengths from 850 nm to 1550 nm.

The 300-0600-00 series of Thermo-Electrically Cooled, (TEC), red and infrared laser diode modules offers exceptional wavelength and power stability, (better than 1%), good pointing accuracy and significantly increased laser diode lifetime.
Designed for applications demanding consistency and repeatability such as machine vision, alignment, industrial inspection, high-resolution printing, biomedical instrumentation, spectroscopy, microscopy and genomics, the TEC laser modules are compact, versatile and highly cost effective.
The laser module produces a circular output beam and output powers of 0.9mW to 32mW at 635nm, 25mW at 690nm, 55mW at 785nm and 24mW to 120mW at 830nm.

Powerline lasers:
StockerYales Lasiris PowerLine structured light laser is a line generator developed for demanding industrial machine vision and scientific applications. Bridging the power gap between the popular SNF and Magnum series lasers, this thermoelectrically cooled device is able to emit uniform laser lines at high powers, up to 1 W at 810 nm and 500 mW at 670 nm.
With exceptional beam pointing and focusing stabilities, the PowerLine laser can be operated in extreme environments ranging from -20C to +55C. The laser beam can be modulated by an external signal through a DB-9 connector on the back panel and all models can operate in either CW or external modulation mode. The laser is protected against over-voltage, reverse polarity of the power supply, over-temperature, and ESD.

Focusable Diode Laser Modules
These 635nm/670nm/830nm diode laser modules have adjustable focus with elliptical, circular or line generator beams.
Focusable diode laser modules combine the technology of high-quality diode lasers with superior optics, sophisticated electronics and rugged alignment packaging. These modules can also be used in many applications to reduce the requirements for external optics. The result is an overall system that is smaller, simpler and less costly.
The adjustable focus is a great benefit for many applications. For machine vision, particle measurements and inspection-and their inherent need for direct measurements-the beam can be focused at a distance for the smallest spot size to optimize the system resolution. For fiber launch the adjustable beam can also optimize the focus spot position to achieve the ideal coupling efficiency. For instrumentation applications with multiple laser sources, the adjustable focus can match the red laser beam properties to another laser to simplify integration requirements.
The front knob allows for easy adjustment. During adjustment the optics do not rotate and focusing action is even and uniform while beam alignment is maintained.1 A locking ring is used to secure the focus in any position. Use the VLM2 mount [part no. 0221-437- 00] for convenient heat sinking and mounting with adjustable alignment. For lasers without a connector, order plug no. 1057734.
