This device is designed in the Surface Mount package for general frequency control and tuning applications. It provides solid−state reliability in replacement of mechanical tuning methods.
Features
- Controlled and Uniform Tuning Ratio
- Pb−Free Package is Available
Maximum ratings are those values beyond which device damage can occur. Maximum ratings applied to the device are individual stress limit values (not normal operating conditions) and are not valid simultaneously. If these limits are exceeded, device functional operation is not implied, damage may occur and reliability may be affected.

Technology: Varistors
Series: MA
MA Series - Axial Leaded Varistor Series The MA Series of Transient surge suppressors are axial-lead metal oxide varistors (MOVs) for use in a wide variety of board level industrial and commercial electronic equipment.
They are intended to protect components and signal/data lines from low energy transients where the small axial lead package is required.
The MA Series is offered with standard (S suffix) or tightened (B suffix) clamping voltage.
See MA Series Device Ratins and Specifications table for part number and brand information.

Multi Layer Varistors are small, leadless, surface mount packages made of multiple layers of Zinc Oxide, with electrodes between them. They are used to help protect integrated circuits and other sensitive equipment. Their small size is ideal for high density printed circuit boards.
Tyco Electronics Circuit Protection also offers the “E” series which is a family of low capacitance MLVs. They are specifically designed to provide ESD protection in high data rate applications.
