The new high resolution digital potentiometer with electronic impulse generation is a
rotary encoder for setting of digital datas. At the output of the electronic encoders
2x512, 2x256, or 2x128 rectangular impulses per output and rotation are at the
user's disposal. The digital potentiometer can also delivererd with a index signal
per turn. The 90° dephased outputs enable the control system to recognize the
direction. The EBE encoders with its high protective system is also applicable under
critical conditions.

SMP9210/9211/9212 Dual 10-Bit Nonvolatile DAC
INTRODUCTION
The SMP9210, -11, -12 family consists of serial input, voltage output, dual 10-bit (1024 steps) digital-to-analog converters. The devices will recall any Dac output voltage on power up and can operate from a single +2.7V to +5.5V supply. The maximum output Temperature Coefficient (Tc) of ±25ppm/0C make them ideal for high accuracy and temperature stable calibration purposes. Internal precision buffers swing rail-to-rail with an input reference range from ground to the positive supply.
The parts integrate two 10-bit DACs and their associated circuits: an enhanced unity gain operational output amplifier, a 10-bit volatile data latch, a 10-bit nonvolatile data register and the I2C compatible 2-wire serial interface.
The SMP9210 has a Chip Select input to enable/disable communication with the device, the SMP9211 has a Mute input to turn the outputs off and the SMP9212 has a reference voltage output.
Programming of the configuration, control and calibration values by the user is simplified with the interface adapter and Windows GUI software obtainable from Summit Microelectronics.

IGP Series
Using this potentiometer a maximum angular rotation of 3800° can be converted into a voltage proportional to the angle of rotation, through the medium of a conductive-plastic potentiometer.
This special "heavy-duty" version is designed to measure angular or linear displacement under the most difficult of enviromentat conditions. Simply yet robustly built, these units are suitable for use in all manner of industrial applications and engineering industry.
The cast housing is watertight. The single stage gearing is exceptionally backlash-free. Heavy-duty bearings allow for high axial loading on the shaft; gearwheels or even chain drives may be used directly drive the shaft.
