APPLICATION - P-C-LITEs are used as circuit board mounting sockets for status, logic and fault detection lights. Also used for back panel lighting, front panel function lights and mounting of photodetection type devices.
VERSATILITY - P-C-LITEs are relampable, no direct soldering to LED. PCH and SMD series mount horizontally, PCV series mounts vertically. The PCV can be installed on one side of the PCB while the LEDs are inserted from the reverse side of the board.
DESIGN - P-C-LITEs are manufactured from UL listed thermoplastics. Unique contact design permits automatic adjustment to the various sizes and shapes of LED leads. Also accommodate IR emitters, phototransistors and incandescent bi-pin lamps.
INSTALLATION - P-C-LITEs are wave soldered (PCH/PCV) or surface mounted (SMD) to PCB along with other components. Sockets are provided with polarity identification. Molded standoffs permit easy board cleaning. Lock-type security for component leads in high vibration and shock environments.

Advanced Optical Components
Finisar is recognized as the world wide leader in Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) manufacturing and technology and continues to lead the commercial application of VCSELs with a broad product offering of components for the data communications industry. Products include both TOSAs and ROSAs for application from 10Mbps to in excess of 10Gbps. In addition, a wide range of VCSELs and VCSEL based assemblies for optical sensing applications are now available. These products are manufactured in our Allen, TX facility.
Finisar also offers 1310nm FP & DFB lasers and detectors, manufactured in Fremont, CA, and passive optical products manufactured in Shanghai, China.
1310nm components include TOSAs and ROSAs for applications ranging from 100Mbps to in excess of 10Gbps, and both top and edge monitoring photodiodes. Passive optical components for use in both telecom and datacom applications include optical isolators operating from 1260 to 1620nm available in free space, pigtailed and receptacle versions. In addition, components such as interleavers, prisms, couplers, waveplates and circulators for wavelength management in WDM systems and fiber amplifiers are available.

Firecomms 665nm VCSELs operate at red wavelengths over 0 to 40°C, and require about one tenth of the operating current of edge emitting lasers. Firecomms multimode red VCSEL is designed for applications where low operating current, excellent beam quality, and visible light are of premium importance.

High Visibility 638nm Laser Diode offers 40mW with better Beam Circularity
Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist, is delighted to announce the launch of a new high visibility, short wavelength laser diode from Sanyo, rated to 50 degrees Centigrade, which offers a very high optical output power of 40mW CW with a low threshold current of 60mA in a 9mm package.
The DL-LS1158 638nm laser diode is part of a new range of laser diodes being developed by Sanyo with a new diode type structure which results in a greatly improved beam circularity ratio of 2:1, compared to the previous beam circularity ratio of 4:1.
The improved beam circularity results in greater efficiency and consequently significant cost savings for OEMs and, combined with the high optical output power and high visibility, makes it an ideal laser diode for use as a light source in laser displays, laser levellers and line-markers, bar-code scanners, machine vision and medical and dental imaging applications. |
