Signal detection plays a decisive role in many applications, e.g. spectroscopic measuring operations. Especially in fringe ranges with minimal signal, it is important that the detector forms a perfect unit with the downstream professional amplifier electronics. This is the only way for the user to ascertain that he is actually detecting the measuring signal and not the noise of the detector or the electronics. A self-construction is often not sufficient in these cases.
This is why LINOS offers the photo professional receivers of the PR.X series. The photo receiver PR.X offers high amplification with lowest noise and optimum bandwidth. The individual components like photo diode, operation amplifier as well as resistors were selected with utmost care and assembled to a powerful photo receiver with a special electronics design. This makes the extensive and costly application of photo multipliers or similar devices obsolete for many applications.
The PR.X1000 also convinces with its high degree of variability. Thanks to the switchable amplification, it is possible to easily detect signals in a range from fW up to mW. |

| HgCdTe is a ternary semiconductor compound which exhibits a wavelength cutoff proportional to the alloy composition. The actual detector is composed of a thin layer (10 to 20 µm) of HgCdTe with metalized contact pads defining the active area. Photons with energy greater than the semiconductor band-gap energy excite electrons into the conduction band, thereby increasing the conductivity of the material. The wavelength of peak response depends on the material's band-gap energy and can easily be varied by changing the alloy composition. In order to sense the change in conductivity, a bias current or voltage is required. Typically, detectors are manufactured in a square or rectangular configuration to maintain a uniform bias current distribution throughout the active region. |

This revolutionary package design allows the lighting designer to reduce the number of LEDs required and provide a more uniform and unique illuminated appearance than with other LED solutions. This is possible through the efficient optical package design and high-current capabilities.
The low profile package can be easily coupled with reflectors or professional lenses to efficiently distribute light and provide the desired lit appearance.
This product family employs the world's brightest red-orange and amber LED materials, which allow designers to match the color of popular lighting applications, such as automotive tail, stop and turn signal lamps, and electronic signs.
RoHS Compliant
SuperFlux products are now available in RoHS compliant versions. The availability of these products enables manufacturers to comply with new environmental standards. |

J12 Series detectors are high-quality Indium Arsenide photodiodes for use in the 1 to 3.8 µm wavelength range. The equivalent circuit is a photon-generated current source Iph with parallel capacitance Cd, shunt resistance Rd, and series resistance Rs (Fig. 1). The output signal current Is is defined as:
Is = Iph Rd/Rd + Rs + Rload
Rd varies as a function of detector temperature (Fig. 2). Rs depends on the position of the source light spot on the detector surface; it varies with the distance from the spot to the detector contact ring . When Rs is small compared to Rd it may be disregarded, but with room temperature InAs the effects of Rs are significant. |
