Bespoke 'T' & 'B' Block Systems for Rapid Tool
Change. Roll on - Roll off facility dramatically reduces
tool changeover times.
Advantages:
Roll on - Roll off facility:
- Dramatically reduces tool changeover times.
- Eliminates tool and press bed damage.
- Allows accurate tool positioning.
The Omnitrack 'T' & 'B' Block systems are designed to facilitate
rapid tool change on any type of press / machine.
The standard format consists of housed spring-loaded Ball Units
which are inserted into the tenon slots of the press. When in the
raised position, the balls protrude above the bed level allowing
the tool to be rolled onto the bed and positioned accurately.
When clamping is carried out the balls retract, lowering the tool
onto the press bed. When clamping is released the balls lift the
tool, allowing it to be rolled from the press.
Standard slot dimensions for 'T' & 'B' bars are shown. We also
manufacture these systems for non-standard slots. Ball pitch,
deflection, load and clamping are application specific. Contact
us for a bespoke solution.

* type LBR uses mechanical, type LBH hydraulic lifting
* balls allow movements at any angle
* moderate rolling friction
* especially useful for dies that have to be accurately positioned by hand

The slots in the press table define the shape and size of the required ROLLBLOC die lifters.
ROLLBLOC ball version offer the advantage of being able to easily move dies in any direction. In conjunction with different die formats, this advantage ensures particularly short setup times.
ROLLBLOC roller version offer double the load bearing capacity. They enable exact linear transfer of the die. This linear technology requires accurate die positioning during transfer to the die table or to the die loading arms.
To further reduce rolling friction, we recommend hardened strips on the underside of the die. Unlike the ball version, the ROLLBLOC die lifter with rollers can also be used in the die base plate (overhead installation).

Changing technique for rapid die change:
Die changing technique using roller bars, ball bars, ball inserts, carrying consoles and die carts. Everything to allow easy and safe die changing.
Carrying consoles – Die changing consoles:
Consoles to permit easy, safe and efficient die change on the press bed. Carrying console, either swivelling or supported, for large weights of up to 250 kN. Set-up times reduced to a minimum, this guarantees more efficient use of the machine and a high degree of operational safety.
Die carts for rapid die change:
HILMA die carts facilitate the handling of heavy dies. All the robust die carts are designed for changing dies weighing up to 40 kN on presses and machines without risk of accidents, without using force and in an efficient (time-saving) manner. Their solid construction guarantees a long service life. The die carts designed to withstand the harsh conditions prevailing in a press shop are very reliable “partners”.

Strong and practical, Omni-floats perform in wet, dry, dusty and arduous conditions for easy handling of sheet materials such as glass and wood.
Omnifloat ball castors are normally supplied with a 50% mix of 'left' and 'right' swivel trail which we recommend are fitted in a regular pattern to minimise bias for a neutral conveying surface.
Optional Polyurethane ball material has a hardness of 90 shore (A scale) providing a high resistance to 'tearing' & wear whilst retaining the non-marking properties of this long-lasting superior material.

Ideal for conveying or working areas, allowing the movement
of items in any direction. Standard sizes feature optional adjustable
legs and also different conveying media to suit all applications:
- Omnitrack Ball Transfers for high load capacity applications and low coefficient of friction
- Omnifloat Ball Castors for sheet materials where instantaneous change of direction is not essential
- Omnisweep brushes for delicate support of lightweight items where coefficient of friction can be compromised

HIGH CAPACITY
The patented recirculating-ball principle affords high precision and load carrying capacity at any angle of inclination. Shock-absorbing and 'friction-less' load capacities from 30 - 2000 kg (75-4480 lbs)
MEDIUM DUTY
A simple cup-and-ball design with load capacities from 20 - 500 kg. These offer good performance in the movement of loads in any horizontal direction. Many popular metric configurations available.
LIGHT DUTY
Suited to light hardware applications, these pressed-steel units offer an economic, alternative handling solution. Available in many different configurations, offering load ratings of 20 kg {44 lbs} to 120 kg {264 lbs}.

Material Options - standard materials are of high-grade steel with outer housings zinc-plated for standard corrosion resistance - we also offer 3 further levels of resistance to corrosion to handle the most difficult working environments:
1. Stainless steel balls only.
(Add suffix 'A' to part number)
2. Arduous conditions - specially treated steel housing with stainless
steel load-bearing parts. (Add suffix 'Z' to part number)
3. All stainless steel construction.
(Add suffix 'SS' to part number)
Note: Non-marking Nylon 66, Acetal or Phenolic Resin balls are
available, together with other special order materials, upon request.

High capacity ball transfer units the practical design and exceptional endurance of our high capacity range can (in most sizes) be easily dismantled for cleaning/examination for extended longevity. With full parts
back-up and a factory refurbishment option on most models -right back to 1954 - we are a family owned & run company that value the concept of service, performance and delivery.

Our pressed steel range of units are ideal for ball 'up' use in light-duty applications. The internal hemispherical cup is heat treated for resistance to wear. Lubricated for life, with alternative material options in most sizes to permit a long service life despite adverse operating conditions.
|
|
|
Medium duty units have been designed to withstand impact damage through misalignment of the conveyed item and also incorporate a resistance to shock loads applied to the main ball. Medium duty units have the internal hemispherical form machined directly into the solid steel base. The load-bearing base is then carefully case hardened for wear resistance and provides for smooth movement in any direction. All units with a main ball larger than 19mm are fitted with a felt seal to reduce dirt ingress.

Versatile spring loaded units which are pre-loaded to support from 23 to 2036 kgs.
Integral moulded Nylon seal and zinc plated housing for corrosion resistance. Available in different forms, with or without additional fixing flange. Load at maximum deflection from 32 to 2036 kgs.

Balls to threaded rod
Economic fixing: a simple hole for the passage of the stem is enough. Balls in heightening compared to the plan of fixing, their brought closer positioning allows the handling of small parcels. Reversed, as casters, these balls facilitate the orientation of pieces of furniture or light apparatuses on short distances.
