Excellence in Inductive Wire Preheating: Extrusion lines producing communication wire require optimum and repeatable conditions in order to produce valuable product at the highest speeds. Inductive preheating is clean and reliable. The adhesion is improved, humidity and other residues are removed from the conductor of data transmission cables. Many insulating materials can not be extruded successfully without preheating of the conductor. Cellular insulating materials require a uniform conductor temperature in order to produce a uniform cell structure and accurate electrical properties.

The InductoScan® modular induction heating systems unique design allows for a wide range of power supplies, controls and components to be integrated on to a common base to better match current production needs. It can be customized to perform various heat treating applications, such as, scan, single-shot, lift/rotate, pick & place, rotary index and linear transfer.
This is a significant advantage for customers because the InductoScan® system can also be reconfigured by swapping in different scanning towers, induction power supplies and other mechanics to accommodate an entirely new part or family of parts for future production needs. The unitized construction reduces electrical interconnections thus reducing the overall assembly and energy costs.

Water cooling system
For every tonne of Aluminium cast some 330 KW of heat is produced. Normally this heat is removed by Water Cooling. With efficient re-use of water with minimal power usage, energy losses and hence costs are reduced with an enhancement in Aluminium product margin.
The Fives Solios cooling water system is designed with this philosophy in mind. We recognise and appreciate the critical nature of the system for the rest of the cast house.
