TZM hot runner nozzle Plastic injection moulding makes high standards in heat conductivity, corrosion resistance, strength and hardness on the materials used. The High Performance System HPS II combines the advantages of an internally heated heated hotrunner system with the possibility to use existing 230 V standard controllers. From the economical point of view in many cases HPS II offers best possible solutions especially for materials easy to process. The system 2420 is the core product of the HPS II system. It enables the construction of compact multi cavity moulds with close cavity spacing and a reduced number of control zones.

Our HotMicroCoil Heaters have a varied operative range. Most important applications are nozzles for hot-runner systems or hot melting nozzles. The hot runner systems produced by Asso s.r.l. are designed with cad-cam evolved systems, realized by cnc modern machines and tested in metrologic rooms by tridimensional machines always under numerical check.
Asso hot runners permit to distribute plastic material into several nozzles by keeping polymer flowing up to the injection point and totally eliminating its slag.
Asso hot runner systems are made to standard measures or on customer’s specific requests.

In our continuous efforts to improve the performance of our hot runner systems, we have recently made a number of improvements to our nozzles. The most important and substantial of these technical developments has been the insertion of a heat treated steel tube through the centre of the CuBe core. The addition of this steel tube now allows the use of very high injection pressures and at the same time, provides excellent abrasion resistance for processing highly filled materials.

EWIKON hotrunner systems for micro injection moulding machines enable the sprueless production of parts with even the smallest shot weights.
The systems are available in 1- to 6-drop version for processing of PE, PP, POM (Copolymere), ABS, PS. The percentage of filler is max. 15%. Typical shot weights range between 0,05 to 1 g. The maximum total shot weight is 15 g.
The systems are offered with only one control zone for tip inserts, manifold and sprue bush as well as with separate control for each gate. Enlarged mould bases enable the integration of slides and latches.
All systems are delivered as fully assembled hot halves for easy installation.

The S-line and E-line thermoregulators as well as the S-line doubler are hardware instruments fit for controlling the
hot runner temperature in the heating systems of plastic injection moulds by checking the power delivered to the electric heaters.
The particular algorhythm of regulation (PID Quanta-enhanced) makes them fit for checking efficaciously the mould temperature in a very wide field of thermic capacity, and for the answer time of the load without having to modify the regulation parameters nor to wait for this to happen automatically by means of some autosyntonization algorhythm.

The new Thermoplay injection system contemplates that the nozzles and the shut off group, that can be mounted with various inclinations, are assembled to the manifold guaranteeing a perfect perpendicularity to the injection plan.
An innovative system of joints that distributes the expansions inside the manifold, allows to use nozzles with a decidedly inferior length regarding the dimensions of the screwed nozzles which are normally used in this type of applications.
The Thermoplay system is supplied prewired with various configurations based on the specific demands of the customer and equipped with conditioning and electrical circuit, pneumatic/hydraulic system, simplifying the transport and installation of the system in the mould.
Another important aspect is the economization of this solution since it reduces the thickness of the nozzle plate and improves the capacity of the melt plastic from the hot runner to the mould cavity.

EWIKON hotrunner systems for large parts are designed and manufactured according to the customers' specific requirements. Construction takes place on modern 3D-CAD systems. On request complete moldflow analysis and pressure drop calculations can be provided as well. The moulding of large parts requires modern valve gate technology. The valve gate nozzles come in lenghts up to 600 mm for applications with high immersion depths. Flow channel diameters up to 22 mm allow maximum shot weights of 8000 g per nozzle.
EWIKON hotrunner systems for large parts come as pre-assembled drop-in hotrunner modules.
These modules include complete electrical wiring, all devices for water cooling as well as the components for pneumatic or hydraulic operation of the needles. All systems undergo extensive functional tests before delivery. This allows an easy integration into the mould design and a quick start-up without on-site adjustments.

Features
Elements are designed for maximum: Watt density, temperature, heat transfer, and heater life.
The useful life of a cartridge heating element is determined by how quickly the heat generated in the resistance
wire can be dissipated to the outside sheath. With low and moderate watt density elements, such as Hotwatt's
standard line, the conventional method of inserting helical coils in formed ceramics is an entirely satisfactory
method of construction because the wire temperature relative to sheath temperature even though considerably
higher, is still well within safe long-life operating temperatures.
The Superwatt cartridge heater accelerates the transfer of heat from the resistance wire to the sheath. This is
accomplished by relocating the wire so that it is closer to the sheath; and swaging the outside diameter of the
heater, thereby compressing the magnesium oxide filler so that it becomes an improved conductor of heat from
the wire while maintaining its dielectric properties. (See diagram below). By improving the heat transfer rate, it
is possible to manufacture elements of higher densities because the differential between the wire temperature
and the sheath temperature has been minimized.

The Hotwatt Square and Rectangular Cartridge Heater is designed to distribute maximum heat within a desired area. Because they are completely enclosed, square units will furnish more usable heat for a given wattage than a comparable strip heater attached to the exterior of a mod, platen, or other equipment.
The units are inserted in a milled slot, permitting greater lengths than would be feasible with a drilled or reamed hole. Close dimensional tolerances are held to permit intimate fit for best heat transfer to surrounding medium.

The gwk series teco tt has been designed especially for special require-ments of this type that arise in operation with such high temperatures. The specific heat surface loading is designed to be such that thermal decomposi-tion of the heat carrying oil can be prevented without fail at normal flow rates. Built-in flow monitoring ensures that an alarm is given if the flow rate becomes too low. It is necessary to prevent oxygen from entering into the system in order to avoid damage to the heat carrying oil from oxidation. The closed circuit of the teco tt units have a supply of cold oil in expansion vessel, which can also be equipped with a nitrogen covering supply device on request.
