During cross-head extrusion, the pre-treated pipe passes continuously through the die.
A vacuum is created between the coating material and the steel pipe so that the coating is drawn against the pipe on all sides as it leaves the die and bonds with the pre-treated pipe surface

The following features permit the economic manufacture of silicone injection molded articles of high quality both technically and optically:
- The CRS is supplied completely set-up. Standard and special gauges(supplier of nozzle spacings permit the individual usage of a CRS for several contour units even with different molded articles.
- Shorter set up times thanks to rapid clamping elements for simple, fast professional fitting of the contour units to the CRS.
- Fabrication of molded articles with reduced sprue is achieved by precisely defined thermal separation between the cooled CRS and heated contour unit.
- Reduced injection point marking thanks to needle valve manufacturer controlled feed system ensuring optimum quality of the molded articles.
- Closing of the fee orifice by means of the needle cock system prevents cross linking of the LSR (Liquid Silicon Rubber) in the sprue bush when the unit contour is at high temperature.
- Shorter cycle times thanks to the possibility of high temperatures of the contour unit and therefore variable vulcanization times for standard molded articles and particularly in the case of relatively large mould ed articles.
- Optimum balancing of the multiple CRS by regulation of the mass flow per cavity integral choke units.
- Minimum mechanical load on the liquid silicon rubber thanks to large cross sectional areas of the feed zones.
The single nozzle CRS is financially advantageous alternative to the multi nozzle CRS for the creation of models, prototypes and small runs. |

The Rapid Professional guillotine System speeds up the recycling of edge trimmings. Two guillotines, one for each trimmed edge, are incorporated into a system that continuously cuts edge trimmings coming directly from a sheet extrusion unit into small pieces. The guillotined pieces fall onto a band manufacturers of conveyor that transports them to a granulator.
Alternatively, the Rapid 20, 26 and 35 Series of manufacturer of granulators can be tailored to take care of edge trimmings. A Roll Feed System fitted on a granulator pulls in continuous strips of edging directly after they have been trimmed off from plastic sheets or foil coming from an extrusion line. |
