A ball screw is a mechanism which translates rotary to linear motion. Its helical element is like that of a coupling pin and nut, with the addition of ball bearings between the two parts. The bearings reduce friction and input torque, thus reducing power requirements. In addition, the large number of contact points of the bearings allow for heavy loads.
Ball screws are used in machine tools, industrial robots, aerospace applications, industrial machines, electronics, precision instruments and other domains.
Ball screws can be factory ground (expensive) or rolled. The latter uses a cold rolling process to shape the material. The screw thread is finished by grinding. This procedure is less precise but more economical.
Choice parameters include durability, load, travel, speed and precision.
TU Series is a compact and slim type positioning table, consisting of a U-shaped track rail and a slide table. The slide table assembled inside the U-shaped track rail is an integral part of a linear motion rolling guide mechanism, in which two rows of large diameter steel balls are arranged in four point contact with raceways. Owing to this design, stable high accuracy and high rigidity are obtained ...
