Chain conveyors consist of a continuous chain arrangement to transport material. The chain(s) are driven by a motor and either support or hold the material to their destination. There are normally two chains per conveyor but this number can vary. Numerous types of conveyor chains are possible and the choice of chain depends on the application.
Chain conveyors can be used for many applications. Some common applications would consit of: bulk material (automotive parts, pallets, drums, metal trays) and hopper discharge (grains, scrap metal)
The chain can be adjusted or changed to suit its material (bulk or unit). The choice of technology depends on the application (loading, elevating, pushing with friction): pitch roller chain, link chain, plastic sleeve, deep link chain, top roller, plastic roller, attachment chain, outboard roller, bearing roller, bearing bush
