The EMCFIX system from PMA AG covers fittings for optimum connecting solutions for screened cables or screening braids. In combination with metal braids of the EMC product line, control and signal cables are shielded from external disturbances. Disturbance influences as electro magnetic fields and electrical impulses are conducted via the screening braids and the EMCFIX connectors to the housing. A current-carrying twisted pair is superior to parallel conductors, but is of limited effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic radiation. Correspondingly, the twisted pair is limited in avoiding unwanted pickup of external H-fields (D.C. to 100 KHz).
Inter-8® Weave Cable substantially reduces magnetic field pickup and radiation compared with conventional twisted pair cable. Our cable involves four separate conductors braided into interlocking loops and is a patented design of Magnetic Shield Corporation. In application, adjacent conductors 90º apart are connected together, effectively providing a two conductor circuit.
Because the Inter-8® Weave Cable design incorporates parallel conductors, the cable provides double the current carrying capacity of a two wire cable of the same AWG size. In contrast to conventional twisted pair, INTER-8 WEAVE does not kink or untwist when left free.

Fabric over foam gaskets are made of a resilient foam core, bonded over with conductive fabric. More than 70 different profiles offer unlimited selection for any application. A composite of metal sheeting impregnated with an elastomer to yield a highly conductive, yet resilient Gasketing material for EMI/RFI shielding as well as an environmental seal. A selection of Woven aluminium wire, expanded aluminium or monel sheet impregnated with silicone, fluorosilicone or neoprene rubbers are available. Expanded Monel wire is also available without the elastomer filler for use in applications where an environmental seal is not necessary. The material can be supplied as continous sheet or as die cut gaskets to customers requirements.
