SCHMIDT® Flow-sensor SS 20.260 for process technology
For the employment in process technology the latest SCHMIDT® flow sensor SS 20.260 offers three crucial upgrades compared to his forerunner. With an expanded measuring range of 0 … 50 m/s the sensor can be applied for flow rate control in a wide range of systems. Many processes require the measurement of heated gases and therefore an enhanced operating temperature. Depending on the configuration of the SS 20.260 it is up to 120 °C. The temperature can be measured with an additional linear output and no separate sensor is required any more. The unit is ro-bust due to a chamber in which the sensing element is protected against impacts. The stainless steel sensor tube is available in different length and thus can be placed at the correct position regardless of the size of the duct. Two LED’s indicate the correct operation or inform about wrong supply voltage or sensor defects.
Applications: Flow measuring in air ducts, volume flow measur-ing in test benches, control of combustion air of oil, wood, gas or coal burners, flow control in cool-ing or drying constructions.
Technical data: Immersion sensor with integrated transducer.
Use of sensor: Free air and guided air in ducts from 25 to 1.000 mm (1 to 40 inch).
Medium: Air, Nitro-gen, Argon and other non-burnable gases. Measuring ranges: 0 … 2.5/10/20/40/50 m/s.
Pressure: Atmospheric.
Power supply: 24 VDC / power consumption only 30 mA.
Output: 0 … 10 V / (0)4 … 20 mA linear.
Functional display: 2 Status LED’s

Massflow under control
Massflow gas measurement is independant of temperature and pressure, thus controlling a process gas can be stable and reproduceable. Massflow controllers contain a PID-controller and can be driven through norm signal or field bus. Massflow meters are without actuators and are only for measuring massflow.

Clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters
The SITRANS F US clamp-on ultrasonic flow technology offers several advantages, number one being the utilization of external transducers. These are quickly and easily mounted on the outside of the pipe, making them the perfect choice for retrofit applications and applications where corrosive, toxic or high pressure liquids and gases rule out the option of cutting the pipe.
With the use of the WideBeam technology, clamp-on flowmeters from Siemens have proven their superiority in both the field and the lab. They offer several benefits such as measurement of practically any liquid and gas; performance unaffected by viscosity, flow rate, pipe size, solids and aeration content; high accuracy and repeatability through automatic temperature compensation and zero drift correction; and installation flexibility on pipe sizes up to DN9140 (360 inches). They are available in six families: two geared towards general industry solutions and four tailored to energy, liquid hydrocarbon, gas and portable installations.
Combine this with flexible configuration options that allow you to either customize your flowmeter or to order complete systems, you can rest assured that we have the right solution for you.

Portable ultrasonic flowmeter FLUXUS F601 is ideal for troubleshooting, plant optimisation and for control of permanent meters.
Features
* Wide application range thanks to the ability of the transmitter to work with shear wave AND lamb wave transducers at all frequencies
* A single pair of shear wave transducers fits a wide pipe diameter range
* Rapid installation without process interruption
* Bi-directional measurement
* High measurement dynamics
The FLUXUS ® G ultrasonic flowmeters use the proven "clamp-on" technology. The flow transducers are simply clamped onto the outside of the pipe. The measurement can hence be put into operation without cutting into the pipe and without production stop. The installation costs are low, retrofitting is not a problem.
Since the transducers are not in contact with the gas, there is no possibility of chemical attack. There are no moving mechanical or pressure loaded parts and thus no wear an tear. FLUXUS G is ideal for measurements at high pressures or on lines with pressure peaks.
Two transducer types for a uniquely wide application range
All FLUXUS® G transmitters support both lamb wave and shear wave transducers at all transducer frequencies. In this way the measuring system can be optimized to even the most demanding applications.
The Lamb wave transducers are ideal for measurement at high flow velocities, in natural gas pipelines for example, or at low pressures, amongst others in compressed air circuits. The shear wave transducers cover a wide range of pipe diameters and wall thicknesses. They are the best choice for mobile measurement or for high pressure systems.
