A Y-Globe valve is an in line valve that is typically used to isolate or control medium flow.
Y Globe valves offer the perfect balance between flow and sealing requirements. The flow control characteristics are much better than a globe valve, while the zero leakage sealing performance far excel that of a ball valve.
It can be provided as a standard Y Globe valve or as a special control valve for severe service applications. They are widely used in Plastic and Polymer Industry as well as control variants in the Petrochemical, Chemicals, mineral processing and Refining industries.

Bestobell’s unique headworks design which incorporates a bolted bonnet and integral cone seat to give smoother operation and reduced operating torques which all aid an extended leak free life. Extended spindle valves are available for liquid service, along with standard spindle lengths for use on ambient gas requirements. All materials used are selected for their suitability to function at cryogenic temperatures. All valves are cleaned and degreased for oxygen duty.

APPLICATION:
To control the flow of Hot Liquids, Hot Gases, Cryogenics** and any other fluids not reactive with construction materials and free of sediment. Cryogenic fluids include Liquid Oxygen (-297°F), Liquid Argon (-303°F) and Liquid Nitrogen (-320°F). Valve operates from zero to maximum differential pressure indicated in table. Valve must be mounted in horizontal pipe with solenoid enclosure vertical and on top.
OPERATION:
Valve closes when energized and opens when de-energized. When the coil is energized the plunger presses the poppet, closing the pilot orifice, and opens a bleed passageway to permit pressure to build above the piston and seal it. Upon de-energizing the coil, the pilot orifice is opened, relieving the pressure above the piston allowing it to leave its seat. The bottom spring allows the valve to operate at zero pressure drop.
