Band heaters are designed for use in different applications:
- Ceramic band heaters: with an heating spiral manufactured from NiCr and steatite insulated, these heating elements are sheathed by an Alusi or stainless steel jacket. Increased insulation is achieved through a layer of mineral fibre. Max. operating temperature: 600°c and max. surface load 8W/cm². Especially designed for plastics injection moulding and extrusion where high temperature is required.
Led by the high performance MI (mineral insulated) Band heater, the patented, flexible THINBAND® heater and the standard mica band heater for specialized constructions, Watlow's band and nozzle heaters are ideal for every type of plastics processing equipment.

Fast Heat offers variety of band heaters to accommodate any cylindrical application. Fast Heat's product offering ranges from the patented better band using mineral insulated technology to the better belly band used for compressor applications.

Features:
-The Hotwatt Standard Band Heaters are manufactured in one or two piece constructions with maximum inside diameters of 11 1/2" and 22 1/2" respectively. Three or more sections are employed when heaters of larger diameters are needed (as for blown film extrusion dies).
-Holes and cutouts are available. Maximum wattage may be reduced with the addition of holes and cutouts. Drawing required for specific location.
