HelioWorks, Inc. offers a unique steady state black body infrared emitter that operates at up to 950° centigrade and emits the full un-attenuated infrared spectrum.
The radiometric intensity data for all of the sources were measured with a broad band thermopile radiometer having a Potassium Bromide (KBr) window. For related technical information see the TECHNICAL section.
Key features include:
Kanthal Filament with high Emissivity of 0.7
No Window
Internal Gold Plated Parabolic Reflector for enhanced output hear infrared
Standard TO-8 Package
3 Year Lifetime
Electrical Specifications:
Peak Voltage = 3.0 Volts DC MAXIMUM
Peak Current = 1.48 Amps
Blackbodies are reference sources used for testing infrared systems. They are required in industry for calibration of pyrometers, infrared line scanners or cameras.
In Defence, they are part of benches for characterisation of complex optronic systems. HGH offers a wide range of blackbodies to cover all Customers’ needs:
- DCN 1000N Differential blackbody for characterization of infrared system performances
- RCN High temperature cavity blackbody for calibration of infrared sensors
- ECN 100 Extended area blackbody for field tests and calibration without collimator
- DCN 1000L Low temperature blackbody
- DCN 1000N Vacuum cryogenic temperature blackbody for space borne systems testing
In addition, HGH have the ability to design specific infrared sources on request.
In many cases, blackbodies are associated to test targets/target wheels and incorporated into infrared collimators (IRCOL).
Helioworks offers a unique steady state infrared emitter for the mid IR spectrum that operates at up to 950° Centigrade in an industry standard TO-8 package. A calcium fluoride (CaF2) window provides spectral transmission to over 9 microns.
