The clamping elements react in the shortest possible response time by the patented pneumatic pre-loading of the system of the spring plates in the diaphragm.
These safety systems are permanently operational for the maximum machine protection.
PClamp clamps and brakes rod loads safely amd quickly. It can be adapted to standard systems such as pneumatic cylinders from leading manufactures (e.g. SMC, Festo= or to individual solutions. Rotatory clamping can also be achieved with PClamp. Certified systems from Employer's Liability Insurance Association can be realised.
Area of application:
Linear rails and guide ways
Clamping of linear axis
Swivel tables
Rotary tables
Spindles, feeders
Rod, piston, spindle clamping
Elevating devices
Hydraulic presses
Hydraulic lifts and elevating tables
Safety catches
Blocking systems
High-lifting devices
Our clamping and braking elements have been thoroughly developed and tested for tough, industrial applications. We do not only want to optimize elements and adapt them to new requirements but open up new applications by innovative developements. Our construction series shows a lot of special characteristics which are typical for all Zimmer developments:
We work hard to assure that each step in the design, pre-production and final assembly meets our quality standard.
High holding forces - low cost:
The pneumatic Clamping Element MK.
The MK series is the classic Zimmer clamping element.
The patented wedge slide gear achieves high supporting forces. The pressure medium moves the wedge slide gear in a longitudinal direction. The resulting transverse movement presses contact sections with high force against the free surfaces of the section rail guide. The MK is clamped (closed) by pneumatic pressure.
MKS-type:
As extension for the MK-range it exists an element that works with spring-loaded energy storage. It opens with opening pressure of >5,5bar
