Glass components include: Viewports (glass, pyrex, quartz), Add-a-doors, and Glass tube adapters
Accessories include: Up-to-air valves, Vacuum grease, Anti-seize compound, Protective flange caps, Wrenches
Viewports provide a simple method of adding an observation window to coating systems and other applications where a view of the internal chamber is required. A&N viewports are available in a variety of window materials (glass, pyrex, and fused quartz) and flange styles. Therefore, you will find an option for vacuum chambers operating high and ultra-high levels of vacuum.
Fixed viewports come in a variety of flange styles and window materials. The window is sealed with a transition material is known as KOVAR®. The ultimate pressure rating of these viewports is determined by the flange style. Note: Fixed viewports are not designed to withstand positive pressures.
Weldable viewports come in a variety of flange styles and window materials.

Mica has a high dielectric strength and excellent chemical stability, making it a favored material for manufacturing capacitors for radio frequency applications. It has also been used as an insulator in high voltage electrical equipment. It is also birefringent and is commonly used to make quarter and half wave plates.
We use transparent natural mica, which has been important in the electrical/electronic industry in such applications as electron tubes, sight windows, capacitors, generators, and insulating spacers for semiconductors.
Mica is very stable at high temperatures, and possesses some attractive electrical properties. It is flexible, chemically inert, and has good mechanical strength perpendicular to the lamina.
We provide mica parts fabricated to your specifications and drawings.

Electronic equipment with various types of indicative performance or viewing devices, such as digital read-outs or displays, may require protection from radiated electrical energy (EMI/RFI). Typical applications include EMI/RFI shielding for electronic displays and enclosures used in medical, avionic, telecommunication, military and industrial equipment.
These unique windows are designed to enhance clarity in viewing while, at the same time, introduce a high degree of shielding to prevent equipment damage due to impinging radiated electrical energy. Transmittance, conductivity, and image quality can be adjusted or tuned to fit the needs of specific applications.
Metex offers a wide range of custom-shielded optical windows for displays requiring EMI radiation or susceptibility shielding to meet military, TEMPEST or NSA specifications. Our Shielded Windows have been designed into commercial and military equipment to provide highly effective electromagnetic shielding while providing exceptional optical clarity and resolution.
