More Than Two Pumps in One
KD Scientific offers the NEW Gemini 88. This unique pump is really two
pumps in one. Each side of the Gemini 88 has its own syringe rack,
motor and leadscrew. The pump can infuse simultaneously at different
rates, or infuse with one syringe and withdraw with the other. When
combined with a valve box it provides continuous delivery.
The KDS GEMINI SERIES Syringe Pump offers continuous infusion or
withdrawal, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with the accuracy and
low flow of a KD Scientific syringe pump.
The KDS GEMINI SERIES Pump is a breakthrough in pumping technology.
The KDS Model 88 has two independent pumping channels linked
through hardware and software. When combined with a valve box, it
provides the continuous delivery of a peristaltic or piston pump with the
accuracy, absence of pulsation and low flow rates of a syringe pump.

withdrawal capabilities with accurate deliveries of picoliter, nanoliter,
microliter and milliliter flow. It is especially designed to hold microliter
syringes ranging from 0.5ul to 10ml. Applications include cellular injection,
micro flow for drug infusion, capillary liquid chromatography and
micro reaction deliveries.
The KDS Pico pump combines smoother flow and updated features to
create a high performance pump at affordable prices. The Pico has a
bright display and easy to use interface. A new two line 16 character
fluorescent display and 6 membrane keys for ease of use and require
only two entries to start pumping. Select syringe diameter and flow rate.
The flow rate can be changed while the pump is running.
The KDS Pico pump will operate continuously in “rate” mode or accurately
dispense a specific amount of fluid in “volume” mode. The microstepping
pump delivers very smooth and constant flow over the entire
flow range. The Pico pump feature non-volatile memory. The pump
remembers its last syringe size, flow rate and configuration settings. It
meets all the relevant European EMC and Safety requirements for laboratory
use.

Now the selection of the right syringe only depends on your application and not on any syringe manufacturer. Single syringe pumps can be equipped with 3-way-valves optionally. The powerful, highly precise and PID controlled drive unit of this high pressure pump ensures an extremely smooth movement of the syringe piston. This enables the pulsation free generation of precise fluid streams in the range of nanolitres (depends on syringe size) and the dosage of micro volumes. By using rugged stainless steel syringes the force of the drive unit can be converted into pressures up to 250 bar.
The integrated pressure sensor (measurement range 0 - 250 bar) enables continuous monitoring of the actual pressure and may help to increase the safety of your high-pressure applications.
