Construction and application
Insulated earthing ropes ESUY consist
out of a highly flexible stranded copper cable
with a additional overall copper braid and are
insulated by a transparent PVC-jacket.
Caused by the stability of such cables it is
often used also in railway equipments. Further
standard applications are as earthing
connections inside of short circuit devices,
heavy current- and energy supply equipments
as well as inside of electricity networks.
ESUY cables are used to protect working
people inside of electrical equipments. According
to the VDE regulations the material is
manufactured only for earthing applications,
therefore no operating voltage is declared.
