The actuators E65 up to E210 are designed to automate butterfly valves and other 90° travel devices. The actuator construction has been designed as a unit assembly system. This principle of operation is the same for all actuators in this series. A single-phase or three-phase motor drives the actuators using asynchronous technology with high efficiency. A permanent-excited current motor drives the direct current actuators. All motors are thematically protected. Connected to multiple spur gears, the output torque is transmitted to a self-locking worm gear. All gear parts are separately encapsulated and lubricated for life. The worm gear is of the self-locking design and ensures that the valve disc remains in the position at the time when the motor voltage supply was switched off. The mechanical interface to the valve is a standardised flange connection in accordance with EN ISO 5211.
