The Turbine Type VAB, manufactured by Gruppo Aturia, is a vertical shaft centrifugal fire pump, suitable for extensive industrial and municipal applications. This device consists of submerged impellers placed in a series-bowl assembly at the bottom of the vertical shaft. In addition, the pump is provided with a discharged head, motor stand, column pipe, line shaft, bowl assembly and a suction strainer. The FM, in turn, accepts the usage of vertical electric motor for an electric drive purpose. This apparatus conforms to FM standards in the discharging of water from lakes, streams, open sumps, drilled wells and other identical sources.
