Many films have a very narrow temperature range within which this is possible. It is therefore very important that the entire width of the film is heated evenly. This is an application for “HORN plate heaters”. The large, uniform surface temperature of the vulcanized silicone heater is transferred to the aluminium plate. Hot spots or cold spots are avoided by varying power densities. At the customer's request, the heating plates can be equipped with a temperature sensor or a temperature controller ex works. It is also possible to divide the heating surface into several heating zones if required.
