TWINTUS - The new low-cost standard for drives

For the miniaturization of pluggable solutions in drive technology, the TWINTUS from HUMMEL sets new standards. It combines dynamic design and functionality in a single housing, is extremely efficient, and provides a pluggable solution for even the smallest servo motors.

With modest exterior dimensions (21mm in height, 41mm in width) and a 20mm resp. 25mm mounting flange, the TWINTUS distinguishes itself with its compact size and high power density. Similar to a modular principle, 3 - 18 pole inserts of the standard M16 plug connector series can be combined for performance or signal transmission, they are also available colour coded (e,g, DESINA colours).

In addition to the format with two M16 plug-in connections, the TWINTUS is now also available in the combination M16 + M12 and thus following a trend in motor development: while the M16 connector assumes the power transfer, the 8-pin M12 connector is used as a signal connector - an interface which, in the meantime, has established itself as standard for digitalised shaft encoders.

In the market segment of energy-efficient small engines, the new plug-in system from HUMMEL represents a first step towards cost-effeciency. When optionally pre-assembled with wires or cables, the signal side of the TWINTUS M16/M12 can already be fitted out ready to plug into the corresponding shaft encoders.
