Recent results of a test carried out in Germany on the role of CAST IRON and PLASTIC PIPES against fire insulation to other floors through waste water pipe lines in buildings. With reference to fire insulation to other floors through waste water pipe lines in buildings, following results were obtained by the directive fire test carried out by IZEG, Germany Information Center On Cast Iron Drainage Technique in ERWITTE: For transitions in ceilings of plastic waste water pipes R-90 approved flame arresters were installed in line with ABP/ABZ (General Construction Control Certificate and License). For Cast Iron waste water pipes, Rockwool have been used the R-90 approved fire safety solutions. Both, plastic and cast iron pipes were tested.
